Mellow yellow

Sarah Coombs March 26, 2015

Yellow isn't a color I use much, but I'm thinking I should change that. I just love the way the ochres and mustards work in these rooms.

They add life to more subdued palettes, making them feel layered, not drab.

They lend a real richness to bright and neutral spaces, too.

They pair just divinely with greens.

And I don't think they've ever met a blue or purple they didn't like.

Even in small doses, these mellow yellows make the whole space feel happier. You can't ask much more of a color than that.
