We didn't bring much when we moved across the country to our little rental house in San Francisco's East Bay. So I've been on the hunt recently for a lot of new furnishings. I love shopping vintage for furniture and accessories, but that love stops short when it comes to electrics. I'm not exactly averse to taking old lamps and rewiring them, but all things being equal, I'd rather go for new pieces that already work and are safe as is.
That's why I was absolutely delighted to come across OneFortyThree, a designer studio specializing in lighting, home accessories, and furniture. Everything is handmade by the owner, Logan Hendrickson, in his Nevada-based workshop.
All of the items are appealing, but I'm a special fan of the lamps. They have a distinctly industrial aesthetic, yet they're really playful and graceful too. They're also exceedingly well priced. I'm certain I'll find a place for some of these soon, either in our own home or on some upcoming client projects.
Below are some of my favorites.
